How do I book a cleaning appointment?
Call us on 06 17 73 11 11, send a WhatsApp, or fill in the free cleaning check online. We'll contact you within 24 hours to discuss the options.
How soon can you come?
We're available 7 days a week, even at short notice. Exactly how soon also depends on the size of the job.
Is it urgent? Call or WhatsApp us on 06 17 73 11 11. We can often come the same day or the next.
Do you work at weekends too?
Yes. We're available 7 days a week, so on Saturdays and Sundays too.
Can I change my appointment?
Yes. You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the appointment. Call or WhatsApp us on 06 17 73 11 11 and we'll find a new time together.
If it's less than 48 hours beforehand and the team has already been scheduled for you, we may charge a fee. So get in touch as soon as possible if your plans change.
How do you put a quote together?
We look at the type of clean, the floor area, how dirty it is and which extras you'd like. If you fill in your address in the cleaning check, we take the floor area from the Dutch Land Registry (Kadaster) for you. A few photos of the space help us make the quote even more accurate. You'll get it within 24 hours, with no obligation.
How long does a clean take?
That depends on the size of the space, how dirty it is and what needs doing. A flat is done more quickly than a detached house after a renovation. We let you know in advance roughly how long we'll take and how many cleaners we'll bring.
Half an hour before we finish, we give you a call, so you're there in time to go over everything together.
Complaints
I have a complaint, what now?
That's obviously not what we want. If there's something you're not happy with, call us on 06 17 73 11 11. We'll talk it through and put it right.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
That's exactly why we always walk through the space together at the end. If you see something that isn't right yet, we deal with it straight away. We don't leave until you're happy.
What if the landlord rejects the handover?
Then we come back free of charge, provided it concerns cleaning points that were part of the job and you report it within 48 hours of the inspection. Send the inspection report or a photo along, so we know straight away what it's about.
After an end-of-tenancy clean, you also get photos of every room from us. You can show them if there's a disagreement at the inspection.
General
How many people are in a cleaning team?
Almost always two. If the job is smaller or bigger, we might send one cleaner, or three. We'll let you know in advance.
Do the cleaners bring their own cleaning products?
Yes. Our cleaners bring their own good-quality equipment, machines and cleaning products. You don't need to get anything ready.
Do you also work for businesses?
Definitely. We clean offices, business premises and apartment buildings (owners' associations, VvE), as a one-off or on a regular basis. We also do a lot of work for contractors, estate agents, removal companies and property managers. Read more on who we work for.
Can I become a Skoonz partner with my cleaning company?
You can. We're looking for reliable partners with a team of at least two professional cleaners, registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK), liability insurance and a van without advertising. Read more about it on become a partner.
Are you insured, and what if something gets broken?
Yes. We have liability insurance for damage that occurs during our work. If something breaks, we tell you straight away and sort it out together with you. If you discover damage yourself later, report it within 48 hours, preferably with a photo.
Damage that was already there, wear and tear and things that were already loose are not covered. If you have a delicate surface, such as natural stone or an antique cabinet, let us know beforehand.
Payment
Do I have to pay the cleaners straight away?
When we're done, we go over the clean together. We only leave once you're happy. Before we go, you can pay in cash, by debit card or by credit card.
If you're not there at the end, you pay the amount in advance.
Is the quote free and without obligation?
Yes. The cleaning check is free and you're not tied to anything. We only schedule the clean once you give the go-ahead.
Will there be any unexpected costs?
No. A deal is a deal: we agree in advance what we'll do and what it costs. If it turns out on the day that a lot more needs doing than we agreed, we'll talk to you first before carrying on.
Can I pay by invoice as a business?
Yes. Businesses, owners' associations (VvE) and other organisations can pay by invoice, with a payment term of 14 days. Choose business in the free cleaning check and enter your company name, and we'll put the right details on the invoice.
Preparation
Do I need to be there during the clean?
No, that's not necessary. It is handy if you're there at the start and at the end, to talk through any details and go over the result together. We'll call you half an hour before we finish.
If you can't be there at the end, we'll ask you to pay for the clean in advance.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Not much. Make sure we can get in and that there's electricity, water and good lighting. Is there still waste from a renovation, or are other tradespeople working there that day? Let us know in advance and we'll plan around it.

Can I book a clean anywhere in the Netherlands?
We work in a large part of the Randstad: around Amsterdam, Almere, Utrecht, Den Haag, Amersfoort, Rotterdam, Alkmaar and Haarlem, and in the towns around them. In the cleaning check you'll see straight away whether your address is in our service area.

Services
Which cleaning services do you offer?
We do deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, post-renovation cleaning, decluttering and tidying up, and commercial cleaning (including for owners' associations, VvE). You can also add carpet cleaning, windows inside and out, pressure washing or the inside of the kitchen cupboards.

What's the difference between a deep clean and a move-in/move-out clean?
With a deep clean we clean a home or space from top to bottom, even if you're living there as normal. A move-in/move-out clean usually happens in an empty home: we get the old home ready for handover or sale, and the new one move-in ready.
When you move, we can also help with packing and unpacking the boxes and with small jobs in and around the house.
What do you do in a post-renovation clean?
A renovation or refurbishment leaves a lot behind: building dust, cement haze, and glue, plaster, sticker and paint residue. We remove all of it, even in places you wouldn't expect, so you can enjoy your renovated home straight away.
What does decluttering and tidying up include?
We help with tidying up at home, decluttering before a move, clearing out an estate and getting a home ready for sale. Things that can go, we dispose of responsibly: to the second-hand shop (kringloop), a charity or the municipal recycling centre (milieustraat). You decide what stays, we sort, do the lifting and then clean everything.
Do you also clean the inside of the kitchen cupboards?
Yes, as an extra option. As standard we wipe down the outside of the kitchen cupboards. If you'd like the inside cleaned too, just tick it in the cleaning check.
Do you also do the windows?
Yes, you can add windows inside and out. Mention it in the cleaning check and we'll include it in the price.
Do you move furniture to clean behind it?
Where possible, yes. We move furniture forward and clean behind it, exactly the spots that get skipped in a normal clean.
Do you take photos of the result?
After an end-of-tenancy clean, we send you photos of every room. Useful as evidence at the inspection by the landlord or buyer, or if you couldn't be there yourself. Would you like photos for a different kind of clean too? Just ask.
The photos are for you. We never post them anywhere without your permission.
